expected the program to just load the UI within a minute or two, but takes 5+ mins (timed it) to even get to loading my user data. had this on standard arch as well. did eos-update just now.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. click steam for it to open
2. it verifies its installation and takes no time doing that, but freezes for 5+ mins after "Steam logging initialized".
