Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): 1702079146
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Gentoo
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
  • Steam Logs: steam-logs.tar.gz
  • GPU: AMD

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I clicked System Information and tried to copy paste my SSD info in order to file https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/10944 only to find that it's pasting something that I copied way earlier, not something that I selected and copied from Steam. I repeated the process to make sure, and sure enough, things copied from Steam cannot be pasted. They don't even make it to the main clipboard.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Install Gentoo
  2. Install LXQt
  3. Install Steam
  4. Click System Information in Steam
  5. Try to copy anything from Steam Information
  6. Try to paste

Looks like yet another CEF bug. When is VGUI coming back? Migrating to CEF was clearly a regression because it has all kinds of bugs that never happened on VGUI.

Hello @grepwood, this might be related to #9273. Can you go to Steam -> Settings -> Interface -> toggle on Enable context menu focus compatibility mode and retest?

Not reproduced in a quick test using a MATE desktop session.
