Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Attempting to launch a game it gets stuck at "Checking..." for Steam Cloud Sync, thus never launching the game. Attempting to shutdown Steam by "Steam -> Exit" crashes the client. The steam window closes, but steam processes are still running and cannot be killed by PID or killall steam.

I run steam from terminal and this is the output at the end:

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Launch game, stuck at "Checking..." for Steam Cloud Sync
  2. Shutdown Steam by "Steam -> Exit"
  3. Crashes but process cannot be killed

Update note:

This actually just happens period when choosing "Steam -> Exit".

1.) Launch Steam
2.) Steam -> Exit

Nothing extracted yet.
