I like to have a browser running while I am playing some games. Lately I have been playing a lot of RuneScape and I like to have Chrome running along side for the wiki. I switch back and forth using the steam overlay.
Sometimes (not every time but fairly frequently) the overlay will lock up, as in I press the steam button and the overlay doesn't come up. When this happens there are either of two outcomes. I either wait about 5-20 seconds and it then eventually comes up OR after 15 seconds or so steam just crashes and restarts. When it restarts I see the steam start up animation and it throws me back to the home screen. The game and chrome are still running when this happens, I just have to "resume" them..
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Have two apps running in game mode (In my case RuneScape and Chrome)
Switch between the two apps via the steam button overlay
