Steam client beta sometimes uninstalls itself back into stable channel on deck reboot

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Sometimes when rebooting or starting the system, it will unenroll itself from the client beta and re-install the stable client without the user being prompted as to whether or not they wish this to occur.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Not sure how other than switching between gaming mode and desktop mode, shutting down, rebooting, etc. but it has happened at least twice to me.

It happened again.. all I did was click on the return to desktop link and it uninstalled the beta and switched back to stable.. so I guess that's the bug.. that if you go to desktop mode with the client beta, you need to restart the system not click on the desktop link.
