I'm currently playing the Mac beta, and am experiencing much more motion sickness then I ever had with the original windows version. I've tried puting fov as high as 115 via default_fov in console, but it does little help. Could it have something to do with apples mouse acceleration?

Not reproducible...seriously!

I am having similar issues. Whenever headcrabs jump onto me, I feel slightly nauseated, and also a little bit sad.

So you post Mac bugs to the Linux bug tracker?

Jjohndrinkwater 2013-02-09 github

@deppan are you certain thats not as intended? :)
@V10lator we are collecting reports for goldsrc titles from all platforms, as they have had a cross-platform-wide engine update.

@johndrinkwater First you say "we", then "they". That confuses me. Are you a valve employee?
If so: Sorry, it was just confusing as the repo is called "steam-for-linux", maybe you should rename it or at least update the README.md to not confuse users.
If not: Source that valve told you to put the issues in here?

‘They’ would be the games. ‘We’ would be the people telling you Mac bugs are being accepted, and not to pester people that report them.
There are plans to adjust the github names, but that is for a later date.

@jimbond, do you still want this issue open?

I guess if there is something valve can do about it, than yes. Setting FOV to 120 works for me but the game sure does look distorted.

Nothing extracted yet.
