After update the Steam client from beta channel I receive duplicated messages from my friends, seems that the problem only affects the first message in each conversation. I'm the only one with this issue?
I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 x64
I believe this will be fixed in the next client (not a Linux-specific issue, fixed by larger Steam team).
Has this improved with the latest client?
