For extra information: This is being done using the Flatpak version of Steam as the System Image [.deb] is out of date on Mint's Software Manager.

Having the same issue on Ubuntu. I finally found the problem. Steam does not add the WM Class to the games .desktop file. You can manually add it in and it works.
