Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

The pulsing highlight present in the Game Recording settings when highlighting a mode can be seen rendering above other UI elements. It can be seen rendering above the Steam Menu / Quick-Access Menu's background blur as well as the Steam Chord window. This issue is not present with the similar highlight present on the Home or Library screens.

Steam Menu QAM Steam Chords
Steam_Menu QAM Steam_Chord

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Navigate to Steam -> Settings -> Game Recording.
  2. Highlight one of the 3 recording options (Off, Record in background, Record on demand).
  3. Press the Steam / [...] button to open the Steam Menu / QAM or hold the Steam Button top open the Chords window.

Reproduction Rate: 5/5

Affected Platforms

  • LCD: Yes
  • OLED: Yes
  • Desktop Deck-like session (gamescope -e -- steam -gamepadui -steamdeck): Yes
  • Desktop: Yes (in Big Picture Mode)

Actual result

  • The highlight can be seen rendered above the background blur of the Steam Menu and QAM as well as partially obstruct the Steam Button Shortcuts windows.

Expected result

  • Highlight renders underneath the background blur and Steam Button Shortcut window (i.e. the behaviour currently exhibited with the Home and Library tabs when a title is highlighted).

This seems to be partially fixed. The pulsing doesn't render on top of the Steam or QAM menu, but it does render on top of the chords.

Nothing extracted yet.
