Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

There was a version of the Steam Client that my private cloud images would appear in the game details in the Library. I was using it to transfer images from the Steam Deck to my PC.

I can still save cloud screenshots in the Steam Deck, and in Big Picture mode that were taken on another device, but they do not appear in the Game details, or if I go the new View > "recording and screenshot" and filter the game name.

I reached Steam support, and they told me the feature was not removed, and instructed me to create an issue here.

I wonder if there is a way for me to enable, or to bring back that behaviour for Linux.

Thank you very much.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

On any Steam for Linux (Deck or PC) - play a game, take a screenshot and share it in the cloud (private).

Do not work

  1. On another device, either: a- Go to a game detail, or b - view > "recording and screenshot" and filter by game

*Update, while I was testing everything again, I noticed that in step B, if I do not filter by game, I can find the screenshot by scrolling. The screenshot still shows the name of the game, is just that the filter is ignoring the cloud.

Work

  1. Change the device to Big Picture mode.
  2. Steam > Media and find the game.
  3. The picture is there, and I have the option to save it locally.

I am not sure if I am hitting the same bug but..
I can't see any of my cloud screenshots taken from other device.
Example.
1 do screenshot PC A
2 upload screenshot "only my Friends"
3 open another device PC B (Steam deck for example)
4 go to media (gaming mode)
5 screenshot is not shown on PC B upload from PC A on step 2.

The only way to see cloud screenshots is going to Desktop Mode and click on my profile and then go to screenshots.

Strange, have you tried to make the image "private"?

Mine used to appear on the game page, I did not have to go to media, or recording & screenshot menu. But if I go to those, I can see it if I do not filter per game, sort by All - recent instead.

Nothing extracted yet.
