I would like the client to prompt the user if they want the .desktop file in their home directory or not. Having to delete this every time steam gets fully reinstalled, or just in general is really annoying. I am a person who manages files without a file manager; completely on the command line, and seeing random files being put in my home directory without my consent really triggers me.
