Sometimes, steamwebhelper falls over repeatedly (every 3 minutes) with text such as the following being logged to …/Steam/logs/webhelper-linux.txt:

Various games hang on start-up when this happens.

The problem appears to occur randomly, but has so far been noticeable a few minutes after starting Steam (which leads me to wonder if the trigger is a race condition during startup); restarting Steam has so far been enough to restore normal behaviour.

Hello @dsalt, fatal stalled cross-thread pipe is an overly generic symptom which can be read as: Something went wrong while waiting for a different thread.

We can't use that as the issue report's title because it will attract unrelated feedback.
