Hello @clark9999, Debian's multiarch implementation requires that all arch variants of a package are exactly the same version, and it also dislikes downgrading packages.

Can you share the output of apt policy libc6 libc6:i386?

Cclark9999 2024-12-26 github

Hello @kisak-valve after you mentioned versions I checked my lib6 version and the package webpage, they did mismatch. After making some test I found out the problem to be between my proxy and Debian's mirrors. So my apt-get wasn't able to find the last version of libc6

Changing the mirror and trying in another network fixed the issue.

Apt policy was normal:

$ apt policy libc6 libc6:i3866
libc6:
  Installed: 2.36-9+deb12u9
  Candidate: 2.36-9+deb12u9
  Version table:
 *** 2.36-9+deb12u9 500
        500 http://ftp.ie.debian.org/debian bookworm/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
libc6:i386:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 2.36-9+deb12u9
  Version table:
     2.36-9+deb12u9 500
        500 http://ftp.ie.debian.org/debian bookworm/main i386 Packages

Thank you for the reply, specially for mentioning the version. This can be closed now.
