Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

First of all, I apologize if this issue was already brought up, please close it if it was. Searching for keywords "framerate" and "performance" returns tons of unrelated bad performance reports. What I'm asking is to improve the performance metrics in Steam Overlay when running a game. Right now it's just a tiny single number in the corner which is barely even visible at high resolutions like 4K. What Deck/gamescope provides is much better and should be made available on other platforms.

EDIT. Don't want to reopen the issue, so I'll edit the OP. I am aware that just using MangoHUD is an option, I was in fact expecting such response, the idea was that since Steam already has the basic performance indicator, it could be improved and enhanced and since gamescope already basically has MangoHUD built into it, it could be ported to the desktop client relatively easy. Then again, I am no programmer, so this is all mere speculation on my part, I'm likely all sorts of wrong about this. Anyway, thank you for your time.

Hello @ClaudeLib, you can use MangoHud independently of Steam.

The performance monitor introduced in Steam Beta Client is actually more or less what I had in mind, so thank you!
