There are two outcomes of the Steam crashes:

  1. It disconnects from Dota
  2. The overlay UI doesn't allow me to close Steam.

I am curious why SIGTRAP shows up.

I have an out-of-process dump but I don't know if that helps.

Don't know if this is related, but my Steam client also keeps crashing since the latest update (January 20th). In addition to the constant log spam in the attached ~/.steam/steam/logs/{webhelper,console_log,console-linux,webhelper-linux}.txt, I'm also getting these in /var/log/messages:

I'm on Slackware64-15.0, GNOME-47, kernel 6.6.73, NVIDIA UNIX x86_64 Kernel Module 550.144.03. Given the "invalid opcode" traps, you might be interested in my CPU make & model:

Yes, these still exist ... why do you ask? 🤔 🤷 😉 If you need the remaining contents of ~/.steam/steam/logs/ and/or /tmp/dumps/ as well, please let me know.

Thanks for listening 🙂
