Your system information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Expect to connect with steam steam://connect/149.56.38.32:27015. Fails.

steam.sh[25789]: Running Steam on linuxmint 21.3 64-bit
steam.sh[25789]: STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
setup.sh[25829]: Steam runtime environment up-to-date!
steam.sh[25789]: Using supervisor /home/soders/.steam/debian-installation/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/bin/steam-runtime-supervisor
steam-runtime-supervisor[25890]: E: Unable to acquire exclusive lock on /home/soders/.steam/debian-installation/ubuntu12_64/steam-runtime-sniper.lock: file is busy
steam.sh[25789]: Could not acquire lock - steam may be running already, continue.
steam.sh[25789]: Steam client's requirements are satisfied
CProcessEnvironmentManager is ready, 6 preallocated environment variables.
Steam is already running, exiting (command line was forwarded).

Other commands are still functional; although the error still appears.
steam steam://rungameid/427520
steam steam://open/servers & exit

How can I fix this because the connect command is vital to my workflow & was working fine for over a year.

I'm now getting this issue.

Fedora 42 Atomic Kinoite running in Flatpak

Tested issue periodically, same error & behavior. Tested today, working but new problem occurs. When Steam launches "Unpacking Steam Linux Runtime container" keeps appearing; annoying! I use another program to launch Steam due to sh -c 'STEAM_FRAME_FORCE_CLOSE=1 steam %U' failing; seems to work now.

Steam version: 1745457196
