Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Deleting a screenshot from disk outside of Steam leaves behind an error thumbnail in the Steam Recordings & Screenshots viewer that can't be interacted with. Having an error thumbnail if the media cannot be loaded makes sense, but I would expect the buttons to still work.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

Take a screenshot
Delete the screenshot on disk, e.g. rm ~/.local/share/Steam/userdata/100304283/760/remote/2194790/screenshots/20250221022510_1.jpg
Try clicking on the error thumbnail, nothing happens.
Enter Select mode from the top right button, and then try selecting the error thumbnail, nothing happens.
Right click on the error thumbnail, press Delete. This works as expected.

Not sure if I should make a separate issue—the problem at the core is the same.

I pull the screenshots off my Deck in regular intervals, deleting them there (via rsync). Of course this leaves behind tons of these placeholder thumbnails. It would be really nice if the Steam client could just regenerate the "database" for these thumbnails on startup, thereby automatically removing any dangling entries periodically.
