Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

clicking on the gear icon and then selecting "properties" doesen't always bring up the properties page, and just does nothing, while some other times it works, and it should work all of the times, not only some times, I have been experiencing this issue since I've switched to Linux a year ago and I'm finally making a bug report about this

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open your library & select a game
  2. click on the gear icon
  3. click on "properties"

similar issue but on amd, properties works but it takes 1-2 seconds to open, began happening like 1 week ago

I also wanted to add that I use the steam client from the official repositories of Arch and not the flatpak or snap one in case it matters, altough the issue is present on the flatpak and snap version of the package too, it's also present in the .deb version too, and this happens on every computer I install steam no matter what distro or display server I use.

I also want to mention that this same issue happens if I right click on an item in my library and select "add to favorites" or any other button really, sometimes it takes the input and sometimes it doesen't and it's extremely frustrating, and this seems to be a known issue.

Update:

I've noticed that this issue doesen't seem to appear on Linux Mint with Cinnamon on X11, so probably this issue is related to xwayland
