Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. User default x11 server is :1
  2. Set up other x11 servers for steam, i.e. DISPLAY=:11
  3. The x11 server after startup is still :1

Extra: Access to the correct x11 server after removing shm permissions, but the software does not start properly

Upgrading flatpak to version 1.16.x should solve the problem.
