Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Connecting from a Windows 11 client running the Steam link app (v1.3.15) with a standard UK keyboard attached, the backslash (\) key to the left of the "Z" key does not function. No keypress event is received by the Steam Deck x-server when that key is depressed (confirmed with xev in desktop mode).
When connecting from the same client to a Windows host, the backslash key does work.
In desktop mode the issue can be worked around by setting an "English UK" keyboard layout in the KDE Pasma settings, which reallocates the backslash and pipe symbols to the hypen (right of 0) and grave (left of 1) keys respectively, however the physical key to the left of Z on the keyboard continues to do nothing.
The issue also occurs in game-mode, whilst in game-mode the only way to type a backslash or pipe is to use the onscreen keyboard.
If I directly connect a UK keyboard to the Deck over USB, the backslash key works as expected.
I suspect the issue also exists for other non-US keyboards that have an additional key next to the left shift key (when compared to a US layout), but I am unable to confirm this.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Launch Steam link on a Windows 11 PC with a UK keyboard attached
Connect to a steamdeck
Observe that the backslash key to the left of the Z key does not function.
