Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Steam defaults to a much smaller default UI scale in gaming mode when connected to a new external screen, compared to the 53% scale which used to be the default for Steam.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open up SteamOS on a new external display, or use Gaming Mode in a distribution that supports that setup
  2. Click the "Automatically Scale User Interface" button on the QAM, or go to the display settings and toggle
  3. The slider scale values should be different than last update.
