Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I have a fat external SSD for storing my games. A while back, when I was plugging the SSD into my laptop, the steam client would automatically make that library available and ready to use. When unplugging said SDD, the library would disappear from steam.

Lately, all that steam would do is just sometimes make that library available when the drive was inserted, and never unmount the drive when it was unplugged. Games on said unplugged SSD were still available in the client and shown as if they drive was still there, the client would constantly complain about not being able to sync the cloud data for said games.

SDD is mounted via fstab, at /mnt/CRUCIALP3PLUS with these arguments: nosuid,nodev,nofail,noauto,x-gvfs-show

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Plug in external storage medium
  2. Notice sometimes it sees there's a steam library folder and it makes it available to use right away, sometimes not and you have to manually add it again
  3. Unplug external storage medium, notice games on said storage are still there, and the drive still shows up in settings despite it being unplugged
