Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen. Please link any large code pastes as a Github Gist
After booting my system, any game I try to launch via Steam takes about 1-3 minutes to launch. During this time, the only indication is a "Launching..." label next to the Cancel button, there are no shader compilation messages, updates, or any other signal to explain the delay. You can even try launching multiple different games, and they’ll all appear to hang.
For example, I launched Stellaris and 7 Billion Humans (the latter using Steam Play compatibility tool by force), and both were stuck in the "Launching..." state. Then (I mean, after 1-3 minutes) suddenly, they both started "actual launching" at the same time. (Showing messages like "Rendering Vulkan Shaders" prompt or "synchronizing cloud" next to the Cancel button) This happens in native Linux games as well as in non-native Linux games.
After this initial hang, every game (including the same ones) launches almost instantly, in about 1-3 seconds.
Before the log was uploaded, I tried to launch SHENZHEN I/O, but it hung for 1 minute.
It feels like Steam is doing something in the background without any hints for user. This issue has been happening for several months, not just in the current version.
