Here is my configuration :
https://gist.github.com/Fred57Yutz/1f82e755ea32867cf943e6c9f8de9a1c
Problem is solved.
I redo the installation of steam as follows :
sudo snap remove --purge steam
sudo apt install steam-installer
steam
Now, in Steam / Settings / Voice menu, in the "Voice Input Devise" field, I'm able to select my microphone : "UAC 1.0 Microphone Mono".
The Microphone Test works : the progress bar is moving when I speak.
In CS2 settings, I'm also able to select "UAC 1.0 Microphone Mono" in the "Voice Input Audio Device".
I'm sure other people will also appreciate to solve this problem ;)
@Fred57Yutz I had the same situation, switching to the .deb also solved this for me
Nothing extracted yet.
On Ubuntu 24.04 new fresh installation.
I use a USB microphone.
In the Ubuntu parameter application, I selected it int Sound / Input.
I works.
In Steam, in the Steam / Settings / Voice menu, there is no chaice for the "Voice input device" : its only "Default".
The microphone test do not work.
In CS2, microphone do not work.
Is there something special to install to be able to use the microphone ?
