Steam client version (build number or date): 1745876290 (current, but I've been having the issue for more than a month now)
Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): KDE Neon (Ubuntu-LTS based)
Opted into Steam client beta?: No
Have you checked for system updates?: Yes - no effect
Steam Logs: Attached; note that the current run (starting 2025-05-09 10:03:00) is from the console and the one before that (2025-05-09 10:02:00) is from krunner, where the bug happens.
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Since upgrading my Mainboard/CPU/RAM I am experiencing a strange bug.
I am using KDE and when I start the steam client from Plasma (e.g. Krunner) it will show the tray icon but not open any window. Every few seconds the Steam window entry appears in the plasma panel for a split-second.
Clicking on the tray icon will open the menu, but trying to start a game or open the steam UI through it does nothing. Only "Exit Steam" works.
But when I start steam from command line it works perfectly fine.
I can reproduce this every time. Re-Installing steam did not help.
