Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
The Steam language dropdown menu is shown inconsistently across the various languages. The entries are generally formatted as <AUTONYM> (<LOCALIZED NAME>) except for the active language which only shows <AUTONYM> (since the localized name is identical).
The following languages however don't respect this format:
Language
Error
Japanese shows its autonym twice.
Czech shows the English localized name instead of just the autonym.
Thai is missing the autonym for English and shows the English localized name for Thai.
Korean has no space between the autonym and localized name for all languages and shows the English name for Korean.
Bulgarian has the autonym and localized name for all languages swapped.
Danish, Dutch and Turkish are missing the autonym for English.
Italian is missing the autonym for Indonesian.
Hungarian shows the English name for Hungarian.
Vietnamese shows the English name for Vietnamese.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Navigate to Steam -> General -> Select preferred language.
Press A and select one of the languages highlighted above.
Select Restart Now when prompted.
Navigate to Steam -> General -> Select preferred language and open the dropdown.
Some languages are missing their autonym when displayed in other languages or are incorrectly / inconsistently displayed.
Expected result
All language appear in the <AUTONYM> (<LOCALIZED NAME>) and only the active language appears only as <AUTONYM>.
Notes
The above can make it difficult in some situations to locate your desired language when the autonym isn't present. This is especially true for English as it appears to lack its autonym in many languages.
