Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: [✅]
System: Steam Deck OLED
BIOS Version: F7G0112
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
When using Steam Input to bind the "Create Clip" command to an individual button on Steam Deck, when that button is used to activate the clip recording, it will show a notification that the clip has been recorded.
It may appear that it's not specifically linked to using it in the same manner I have, the in-game recording function as a whole may have a severe bug.
This issue was non-existent when Game Recording was originally introduced to SteamOS.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Set "Create Clip" in Steam Input to any button on Steam Deck.
Use "Create Clip" Shortcut
Press ---> "Steam" Button
Go to ---> Media
Select ---> Latest Clip
Check for Video Oddities or Outright Corruption of video files
(in some instances the video will appear fine.)
Repeat this action until you see the following:
(note: when repeating this action allow your buffer to capture new footage, aka: if your recording limit is 60sec wait 60sec(+/-) before using the Create Clip Shortcut.)
I actually have a longer clip of the full 8min buffer of background recording that shows how badly the corruption was during this game, but I need to reduce the quality in-order to upload.
Will include extra screenshots to asisst in understand that longer clip specifically.
For now I will add information & extras within 24hrs such as system reports, more screenshots & longer video(if allowed).
But for now this is sufficient for an investigation.
