Seems part of the solution is for people that use these Atari Modern Controllers is to use Atari's OS to update the controller firmware.
I see, a firmware issue. I'll leave it up to Kisak to decide if it's worth keeping this issue open so that people who have this issue can find it.
Hello @Managor, as a proxy report, this isn't worth tracking here.
If an affected user appears and wants to tinker with an outdated firmware quirk, then their best option to to see if that firmware is uniquely identifiable and follow up with SDL.

I do not own the controller but I saw a video where right trigger was bound to right joystick up-down axis
