Using the steam overlay sometimes causes steam overlay/steam client to crash/become unstable i(mages/videos will be provided) pressing alt/tab doesnt show the overlay anymore instead it "turns off" the fps counter

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. open the steam overlay (risk of rain 2 was tested)
2. observe the overlay non existent/laggy and unstable in use
