Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Using the newer "FPS details" causes GPU performance to drop from ~100% to ~50% in Counter Strike 2. I tried other games like Silent Hill 2 Remake and Dark Souls III and this didn't happen when playing them, but in Counter Strike 2 there is a clear impact.

I have included a video example - you can see the FPS on the top right and the GPU utilization graph. Toggling the "detailed FPS" option has a clear impact on GPU utilization and on the framerate. Notice how as soon as I toggle "detailed FPS", the GPU utilization graph plummets and stays at ~50%. When I go back to "single FPS values", the GPU usage jumps straight back up to ~90%.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Open Counter Strike 2
  2. Shift+tab and set the performance monitor to "detailed FPS"

nvidia-smi shows 75% and the steam in-game monitor show around 50%. Something is definitely wrong. But it's on another game.
