Do you delete Stream off my pc and then go online and reinstall it?
By terminal, do you mean my computer?
You don't need to reinstall steam for that, just right-click on the steam icon in the taskbar and select 'exit'. If there isn't an icon, steam is already closed, and you don't need to do this step. By terminal, I mean a terminal emulator. You probably already have one installed, but if you don't, you can use alacritty (https://alacritty.org/). Just open the terminal, type steam into it and copy the output.

Since June 2024, I have been unable to play Counter-Strike (the free game) or any other game.
I have been getting an error message

(No Entry Sign)
Couldn't set up Stream data.
Tech Support suggested I take my problem to this forum
Is there anything I could do to resolve this?
my pc is Linux
