Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): Stable 1751405894 (working)/ Beta 1754001374 (broken)
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Archlinux
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: Yes
  • Have you checked for system updates?: N/A
  • Steam Logs: steam-logs.tar.gz (I've also separately uploaded controller logs below which I would expect to be the most relevant)
  • GPU: AMD

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

The game doesn't support these controllers, so testing requires having steam input enabled.
With steam client stable, the controller works on proton 9 through experimental.
With beta client in doesn't work in any of them, the game won't take any input from them.
Controller works on windows even when using the beta client.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Select steam client beta
  2. Connect controller
  3. Start game

+1

Ran into the same thing today, controller works on stable but not on beta. Inputs show up on the input tester, but they don't seem to register in game.

Working Stable Steam version: 1751405894
Broken Beta Steam version: 1754956157
Distribution: EndeavourOS
Desktop environment: Gnome 48.4 (Wayland)

Controller is working again for me on steam beta 1754956157.

@HiroLineHL I think yours might be a similar, yet different, issue

I may have actually been using the build right before 1754956157, as it is now working for me now too, I guess the ticket can be closed.

Nothing extracted yet.
