Hello,

I have a Dell XPS 9520 laptop with Intel Iris integrated GPU and Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti dedicated GPU, on Debian 13 (mother of Ubuntu) with kernel 6.16 and Cinnamon environnement (descended of Gnome 3).

With this kernel (from experimental Debian), I can use the new free NVidia driver written in Rust and named "Nova".

This Nova driver is much easier to use for switching from an Intel GPU to an Nvidia GPU than Nvidia's proprietary driver, and it reportedly uses less power.

Compared to the old free "nouveau" Nvidia driver, performance improved threefold in a synthetic benchmark with Nova driver !! This is great news for all owners of laptops with dual Intel Nvidia GPUs !!

The only thing is that the Steam client starts but doesn't display anything at all with this new Nova driver selected when starting the Steam Luncher.

If you could correct this in the future, I would be delighted :)

Thank you by advance and best regards to you.

Hello again @Phil995511, as previously mentioned on https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/8990#issuecomment-3211344120, this issue needs to be evaluated and resolved by the video driver vendor.
