I think it should be called "super", as "meta" is "alt"
Please don't rename the windows key. Everyone knows what it is. Only experienced Linux users know what "Super" and "Meta" means.
But it's plain wrong on OS X.
PS: Again, sorry for misusing this issue tracker for OS X, but there's nothing equivalent for other platforms.
I agree with OSX but Imho it should stay for Linux.
Marking this as a feature request to rename the "Win" key to "Meta" or Super"
On an aside, on Sun machines, the equivalent key is named "Meta". Some linux machines, based on the keyboard, may mark it as either super or meta, though I'm not entirely sure what gives it that bend. On this netbook, its been mapped as either, based on the OS that got put on.
I don't think people will be confused by the key being called "Meta" or "Super" if they have just pushed it.
Looks like this is still not solved 6 years later.
This is still the case with the new Steam client which is much better on macOS overall.
Nothing extracted yet.
On OS X defining a hotkey e.g. for making screenshots will show
Win+…when using theCmdkey (⌘).Showing either
Cmd+…or⌘+…would be great.I guess this should apply to Linux as well, depending on the keymap it should probably be called
Meta+….
