Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Every dropdown menu on the Steam client loads, but they do not respond to mouse clicks.

When I click on an option in a dropdown menu, it just closes and reverts back to the original selection.

Workarounds:

• Using arrow keys to move through the menu and pressing Enter works.
• However, some dropdown menus (such as the Settings button for games) have no keyboard support, making them unusable.

On a normal dropdown menu, when I click on an item, it instead selects the position of my mouse behind the dropdown, as if the menu overlay isn’t interactive.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Open Steam on Lubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.
2. Open any dropdown menu (e.g., language selection, game settings).
3. Try selecting an item with the mouse → dropdown closes without changing the selection.
