Your system information

  • Steam client version (build number or date): steam.i686 1.0.0.85-1.fc43
  • Distribution (e.g. Ubuntu): Fedora 43, KDE Plasma 6.5.2, Wayland
  • Opted into Steam client beta?: No
  • Have you checked for system updates?: Yes
  • Steam Logs: steam-logs.tar.gz
  • GPU: Intel B580

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Steam should open, either from application menu, or from running steam command in terminal. Instead nothing happens. In background processes, a lot of SteamWebHelper processes opens, and then crashes, repeatedly.

When running from terminal, this is the output.

This is the Steam Webhelper log.

Don't know what happened but it's working this morning. Last night, I tried restarting steam, killing steam, and rebooting the system, but nothing worked. I had to do a hard reboot (holding down the power button) this morning and steam worked when I restarted.

Issue seems to finally have fixed itself with the newest update to my system/Fedora/Steam.

Edit: It still caused me issues. After installing a different distro alltogether and still having the same issue, I realised that I didn't have resize BAR support enable in BIOS. Enabling that seems to have properly fixed it.
