Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I am using two monitors, main one is 1440p, second one is 1080p.
When I receive a Steam notification on my main monitor, it appears exactly 360px above the taskbar. 360px is the difference between 1440p and 1080p.

Not working example:

You can see the second monitor is aligned with the top of the first monitor.
I receive the steam notification like this:

Working example:

Apparently if you align the monitors by bottom, notifications show fine:

This is really annoying and should not be an issue.

Valve, pls fix.

Update: I downloaded the package plasma-x11-session and tried running DE with X11 instead of Wayland.
With X11 I could not reproduce this problem.

Interestingly, I have the same issue with the same primary monitor (S2722DGM). However I am on Arch with an NVIDIA gpu.

Same issue here.

2 Monitors, primary one is on the right.

The notifications appear on the bottom right corner of the right monitor. But not just that, they also aren't aligned to the corner properly but instead cross over to the other monitor.

KDE Wayland

(One taskbar is on one monitor each.)

EDIT: Below is wrong, I was not able to reproduce this effect when I tried it again today.

Same OS, same window manager: CachyOS and KDE Plasma.
I am using an Nvidia GPU.

I was able to fix this by swapping the ordering of my monitors in the physical GPU sockets.

My primary monitor had to be earlier in the displayport sockets than secondary.

Same / similar situation. I have two monitors, which are set up with neither the top nor the bottom aligning:

Image

The right monitor is the primary. Steam notifications show up on the left monitor, but are vertically aligned with the taskbar on the right monitor, ie, they "float" 1/3 of the way up the right side of the left monitor.

Image

I'd expect the notifications either to appear on the primary or to honor the actual geometry of the secondary if they're going to appear there.

This is with KDE Plasma on Wayland. This was not a problem on X11, but I recently switched and keep finding weirdnesses like this. (Edit to add: With X11, the notification still appeared on the left monitor, but was correctly aligned with the taskbar at the bottom of that monitor.)

Nothing extracted yet.
