Game launched via compatibility tool: Steam Play
On the native Linux version of Counter-Strike 2, player models are always invisible during matches. Hitboxes work and shots register, but enemy and teammate models never render, making the game unplayable.

System:
• OS: SteamOS 3.7.19 (Arch-based)
• Device: SteamOS handheld (AMD APU)
• GPU driver: RADV (Mesa 24.3.x)
• Renderer: Vulkan
• SteamOS channel: Stable (also tested Beta / Preview)

What I tested:
• Native Linux build only (no Proton)
• Gaming Mode and Desktop Mode (same issue in both)
• Shader cache cleared
• Steam Linux Runtime tested
• Latest SteamOS updates installed

Using Proton fixes rendering, but VAC blocks it (expected), so Proton is not an option.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch CS2 native Linux version
  2. Join any match (MM / DM)
  3. Player models are invisible from the start

Expected:
Player models render normally.

Actual:
Player models never render, while gameplay logic continues.

Hello @NihatM, on the game side, this issue is being tracked at https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/4113. On the distro side, this would be resolved with the general video driver update that will come with SteamOS 3.8.
