First time posting. I recently downloaded the plex app from the Discovery store and added it into steam in steamos as a non-steam game. I never noticed until now that we don’t have a way to mute or control the volume slider on multiple apps / games individually that may be open at the same time in the quick menu in gamemode. I couldn’t find a request like this on the web so I thought I would request it here. I know this can be done in desktop mode. Other considerations would be a web browser opened and running while also running a game that I might want muted or the volume turned down. Anyway, I thought this would be a nice to have but maybe I am in the minority here.

Update** I did find a Reddit post of someone asking a similar question in 2022. Someone responded that if you have an app open as well as a game in desktop mode, you can change the audio level on both in the audio control panel and that will carry over into game mode. I tried it and it does work but It would be a pain to mage volume this way, but it is achievable. That said I wonder if this is something valve can quickly pull from since it already exists in desktop mode and bring it into gamemode / gamescope.

Nothing extracted yet.
