Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

I was viewing multiple clips taken from the background recording feature, and every once in a while the viewer will crash with a SIGILL. The main Steam window remains, but the recording view window will close.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. View multiple clips via the View -> Recordings & Screenshots menu.

I am also running into this issue on nix unstable, 6900XT w/ 9900K. currently on xanmod but was also doing it on lqx and zen. I have steam running with -cef-disable-gpu-compositing

There's definitely a memory leak involved with this somewhere; each clip bumps the ram use of that swh thread by a few hundred MB, reaches atleast 5GB before it'll crash mostly.
