Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Dying light runs great for 10-60 minuts and then the game just crashes, the full screen video disappears revealing the steam window and my desktop, the game audio carries on for less than 60 seconds, and then steam button goes from "running" to "play". If I relaunch, I get about 10-20 minutes, maybe more, and then it happens again.

Describe what you expected should happen and what did happen.
I expected to continue playing without a crash
or restart the game without a recrash

Steps for reproducing this issue:

This is a newly built system with a Asus B550, Ryzen 5 5500, and RTX2080, LG Gsync monitor, and 1000/1200 thermatek psu installed 21.3, updated kernel 6.8.0-90, and installed Nvidia 580 driver. I have LG monitor with gsync working and run 160fps with mostly high performance settings as well as my processor and GPU working %70-%100 without any indication or artifacts of being overloaded or under powered. Temps stay below 75 on both. Logitech gaming kb and nulea trackball mouse connected via Bluetooth

Hello @interestingfellow, since this is a Linux native game, this issue should be reported directly to, and evaluated by the game's dev(s). Unless there's evidence pointing towards the Steam client causing the issue, there's not much to be pondered from the Steam client's side.

Nothing extracted yet.
