Hello @A-Infor, I'd search for the runtime in the Steam library view, go to the per-game properties of it, and verify the integrity of the tool's files. Steam doesn't allow game dependencies to be uninstalled without already removing all games that use that dependency.
@kisak-valve Great tip, solved my problem!
Thank you!

Your system information
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
I try to play Stacklands and get the message: "An error occurred while launching this game: Compatibility tool failed".
GitHub Copilot told me to get rid of "Steam Linux Runtime 3.0 (Sniper)" and then install it again.
However, the "Uninstall" button on "Steam Linux Runtime 3.0 (Sniper)" doesn't work.
The specific error from the terminal when trying to launch Stacklands is:
pressure-vessel-wrap[15281]: E: Could not create copy "./lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libSegFault.so" from "/home/analista/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/SteamLinuxRuntime_sniper/sniper_platform_3.0.20250929.168600/files/./lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libSegFault.so" into "/home/analista/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/SteamLinuxRuntime_sniper/var/tmp-4IO8I3/usr": fstatat(./lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libSegFault.so): No such file or directory
The file
libSegFault.soappears to be missing from the Sniper runtime installation. What I've tried:
~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/common/SteamLinuxRuntime_sniper/var/(error persists)Steps for reproducing this issue:
