Hello @zachmeyner, can you check if https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/12585#issuecomment-3691455319 has an effect?
I went ahead and added that line and the result is the same. No input being registered, home button still powers on the switch 2.
i have the same issue on fedora
I don't know if something somehow changed, but now that fix you linked in that comment has worked.
Having the same issue, it shows its there and can be named but nothing other than that
why was this closed?
Have the exact same issue on Kubuntu.
It worked just yesterday, now doesn't again
For all asking why it was closed: the fix here worked when I needed it, and since then it seems like this fix has been implemented directly into steam. I don't really have much more to say on it.

But it didn't, theres still a bunch of people in that thread that have an issue with it.
Edit: nvm didn't find the RT3 branch the first time, that fixed it!!

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
When plugging in Switch 2 Pro Controller to PC steam recognizes the controller, and acts as it is connect (allowing renaming of controller name, and enabling rumble); however, when testing input device no input is being read. Additionally, pressing the home button on the controller still turns on the nearby Switch 2.
