I'm trying to connect my xbox one controller or ps3 controller through an usb cable to play games with however steam doesn't detect either of them. The xbox1 controller blinks for a couple of seconds and then turns off. I have tried many solutions i've found on the internet but none of them worked. It might be a system issue but i'm not sure.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Plug in your controller
2. Check it's detection in the settings
3. No controller detected
