@breadlarson Have you found solution? I have the same problem on the same OS, but with Doom3 BFG Edition. Do you have disk encryption enabled? Mine is encrypted, so maybe it is the problem.

I ended up going with the nuclear option and resetting the entire distro (I took this as an opportunity to switch to fedora and try that out). That fixed the issue.

I recently ran into an issue where in linux mint, Elden Ring and Elden Ring Nightreign suddenly don't have any input for my controller (flydigi vader 4 pro) when it previously didn't have any issues. Now the controller shows as blank input.
If I switch to windows and run the game there, it works just fine. If I use my xbox one controller instead, the game also works just fine in linux. The vader 4 pro input registers as an xbox 360 controller because it is using x input. This seems to only be an issue for these two games, other games are recognizing the controller just fine.
If I connect both the xbox one controller and the vader 4 pro, then toggle to xbox one controller layout and switch back to the xbox 360 layout (vader 4 pro), it temporarily shows a layout, but this doesn't seem to actual make the game recognize the controller or solve the issue.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
