Have you checked for updates in Settings > System?: Yes
Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:
Opening Controller Settings in Steam Overlay freezes the Steam Deck in all games.
Sound works, but all buttons are unresponsive (even forced quit: Steam + B). Only the cursor (Steam + right touchpad) is active. System does not recover automatically; requires forceful button presses to wake after 5–10 minutes.
I have this bug for few months in both stable and beta
Enabling 'Record in Background' increases the chance of the freeze.
in my video Performance overlay: disabled. 'Record in Background' disabled.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
Run a game, wait for any screen from it to appear.
Push the STEAM Button to access the Steam Menu.
Press Right on the D‑Pad and then Down on the D‑Pad to highlight Controller Settings.
Press A to enter that screen.
Press Down on the D‑Pad to select the Controller Settings sub‑option.
Press A to enter Controller Settings (the system may freeze at this point).
If the system did not freeze, press B to return to the game (NOT the Steam button!).
Push the STEAM Button to return to the screen showing the Controller Settings sub‑option.
Push A to enter Controller Settings again (the system may freeze at this point).
If the system did not freeze, press B to return to the game.
Repeat Steps 8 through 10 until the Steam Deck freezes.
