UPDATE: newest driver version 595.58.03 seems to have fixed some of the issues. More testing needed.
UPDATE: issues are still present after re-testing.
This happens for me as well. Nvidia driver version 595.44.05. You can still move the window by dragging the invisible bar.
If you resize the steam window, everything will come back like normal.
Still not fixed. Also, I'm getting a black bar when I open the menu in Steam Big Picture, and the same thing happens when I get a notification.

I'm also getting a weird notification glitch where it appears behind the task bar or the DPI of the interface gets messed up when playing some games.

I'm getting something like this. This happens in notifications as well. Hope someone finds the solution for this.
And I Idk How come it's one of the rarest issues over here, are we missing some packages or something? Do we have to reinstall the entire OS?
@Netwell09 I'm getting the same issue with the black bar in BPM. It happens in ubuntu under wayland and bazzite in gamemode / gamescope. Apart from that it works great but I had to go to the DECK to confirm that it should show the transparency behind the animation-.

@Netwell09 I'm opening a new issue with this problem using your video since this looks like something that is not related with wayland at all and it doesn't depend on hardware acceleration (I tested it in 2 OSes bazzite with a dedicated gamescope session and in Ubuntu wayland) Disabling GPU accel doesn't affect the outcome. The only thing that is consistent is that the GPU in my case is Nvidia but i'm not sure if happens with AMD as well
update: I tested it with an intel igpu and it doesn't happen so it looks that is a nvidia driver thing
@davgar99 you should edit the title since it happens without wayland and without gpu acceleration. It is a nvidia thing for sure.
@karelion-s Then I think we should create a forum on nvidia's website on this.
I agree, possibly related to this post though: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/t/gamescope-renders-steam-overlay-without-alpha/369869
and this other issue #https://github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope/issues/2171

Steam client sometimes starts to behave strangely when using Nvidia and Wayland + GPU acceleration. Also, when suspending the system through Steam Big Picture mode, the whole Steam client freezes and doesn't restore properly. The only fix was to force quit the application (making sure to quit the app fully and not having it run in the background) and then re-opening Steam. Sidenote: same issues occur when entering and leaving Big Picture Mode.
I expected the client to work normally and not exhibit these weird graphical issues.
Steps for reproducing this issue:
How the app should look

Opening the app (header is missing)

Exiting the app (body disappears, header appears)

Big Picture Mode freezing

Weird notification bug

HiDPI bug (elements appear really small)
