The previous report is about things not working on Wayland.
This isssue is ui / ux request to add info that it's not working on wayland when users use wayland.
I'm not requesting you to support steam input or overlay on wayland. Wether you do that is not part of the issue.
I'm requesting you to not mislead users into thinking it works on wayland.

I've spent hours trying to debug my input issues. Only to find a 3 year old post and ai answer that you don't plan to support wayland.
Wayland is currently shipped as default for all major desktop managers, checking if it's on is a matter of checking an env variable. Disabling Steam input settings and throwing an info shouldn't be much work either. Even if you don't want to bother disabling it, please show warning.
At this moment you're gaslighting users into thinking it works. This causes them to waste their time and nerves looking for a fix.
