I am experiencing a long-standing issue (persisting for 1-2 years) where Japanese input via Fcitx5 does not work correctly in the Steam Store search bar.

Actual Behavior:

• When typing with Fcitx5-Mozc, keystrokes are frequently dropped or the character order is swapped.
• Example: If I type "puroject" with Japanese input ON, it may result in "rpuoject" or characters might be missing.
• This issue is specific to the Steam Store's web view. Other native Linux applications handle Fcitx5 correctly.

Expected Behavior:

• Characters should be captured in the correct order.
• The IME candidate window should appear and allow for Japanese conversion (Hiragana/Kanji) smoothly.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

1. Launch Steam on Debian 13 with Fcitx5-Mozc.
2. Go to the "Store" tab.
3. Click on the search bar in the top right corner.
4. Enable Japanese input (Fcitx5) and try to type a word (e.g., "puroject").
5. Observe that the input is corrupted or the order of characters is incorrect.
