Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

Up until recently, remote play has worked perfectly fine on my wayland compositors as long as they had the overlay working (worked on all xwayland games). But recently, the behavior has gotten very inconsistent, often not working. I've gotten behaviors like games working perfectly fine; specific games not working; the remote play canceling and saying "Stopped streaming to steamdeck"; steaming starting up and steam input and mouse control working, but video being black (this is the most recent behavior that was captured in the logs I attached).
These different behaviors change between each other rather often. I've also fixed with different methods that also change, like streaming to my deck screen instead of an external monitor has fixed in the past, although it isn't now. and switching to the beta with steamrt3 and using -pipewire has circumvented the problems, but isn't working right now.
Right now, the current behavior is that all games seem to be working except ones ran through gamescope and this specific game Voices of the Void alpha 0.9.0n that i added as non steam game. I can not think of any difference between this game that isn't working rn and all other games that are working. I've tried another non-steam game and it worked just now. I've tested proton 10 and experimental. I've tried many things putting in gamescope or other command line options, but I've failed to get VotV to properly send it's video to my steam deck (or my phone's steam link i tried once) at all today. But maybe it'll start working randomly in a few hours.

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Have Arch Linux with Plasma and Steam installed
  2. Download Voices of the Void from itch.io and add it as a non steam game
  3. Try to stream it to a Steam Deck

Here are a bunch of logs from other tests I just did.
Firstly, I tried on the stable branch again, running VotV to my steam deck (it's on beta client). It resulted in a black screen but working inputs and mouse control:

Second, I tried switching to the beta branch and enabling steamrt3, restarting steam. I ran VotV and had the same result:

Third, I tried running with the beta again, same as last test, but also adding the experimental -pipewire flag and selecting the main monitor when the dialogue showed up. This has worked for me in the past. It had the same black screen result.

Lastly, I didn't restart steam from the previous test but decided to try to stream another itch.io game I had downloaded a long time ago, Casualties: Unknown. It successfully streamed video.

Nothing extracted yet.
